The AutoRemind feature of AutoTech will automatically remind you whenever your vehicle is due for an oil change, tune-up, or lube job.

For example, suppose you have a '99 Ford Taurus. You would simply enter the dates of the last oil change, last tune-up, and last lube job (as in the following)...

Note: These dates were arbitrarily chosen.

Car Repair Overcharges Avoided By Troubleshooting Car Problems With AutoTech

Now, each time AutoTech is started in the future, it will make some calculations based on 1) the current date, 2) the dates you entered above, and 3) how many miles you drive per year (this is entered when you register a vehicle with AutoTech). From the results of these calculations, AutoTech determines if any of the service intervals have been exceeded. The default service intervals that AutoTech uses are: 3000 miles between oil changes/lube jobs and 12000 miles between tune-ups. However, you can change any of these intervals to whatever you like. Once one or more of the service intervals has been exceeded, AutoTech will display the following notice...

NOTE: As you can see in the above notice, an oil change, tune-up, and lube job are all needed for this 1999 Ford Taurus.

NOTE: The above notice has 15 rows. This is because AutoTech allows the user to register up to 15 different vehicles. In this example, only one vehicle was registered with AutoTech (ie. a '99 Ford Taurus).

NOTE: Incidentally, a '99 Ford Taurus is just one of 600 vehicles covered by AutoTech.
